July 3 - Modulift and IMES (Inspection Monitoring Engineering Solutions) have formed a joint venture to offer an integrated service of 'below the hook' operations.
Lift Management Services (LMS) aims to link all components and processes to give clients a full support mechanism for any major heavy lifting project from start to finish, said the two companies.
The partnership will merge Modulift's lifting engineering capabilities, as well as the design and supply of lifting equipment, with IMES' engineering consultancy and inspection expertise to deliver entire project management services.
"The LMS partnership reflects the growing demand for a more involved, in-depth service," said Sarah Spivey, managing director of Modulift. "As lifting projects grow in scale and ambition, so does the need for a careful and complete planning and execution process below the hook."
Rod Buchan, executive chairman of IMES, added that this new market offering is all about safety and efficiency. "It incorporates all the relevant risk assessment and traceability elements, while also complying with all regulatory and legislative requirements."
LMS is available to clients around the world, working in all industry sectors. It is designed to support companies who require management of their lifting projects, in particular where spreader beams, lifting beams or lifting frames need to be designed and/or supplied.
