July 30 - The launch of MeteoGroup Singapore signals a significant expansion in Southeast Asia for one of Europe's leading independent weather companies, it claims.
MeteoGroup Singapore will initially focus on providing weather products and services to the Southeast Asian shipping and offshore markets.
The company says it has provided market-leading marine weather services to this market for many years and that the opening of an office in Singapore will enable it to provide an enhanced level of service to existing customers and to expand its business in the territory.
MeteoGroup Singapore will offer a full portfolio of marine services for ship routing optimisation, ship performance analysis, fleet management and offshore operations.
Peter Stoter, director of Marine Services at MeteoGroup commented: "Singapore is the ideal hub for servicing customers in Southeast Asia and, with strong growth in the Singaporean shipping industry, it's an opportune time for MeteoGroup's expansion into this market. MeteoGroup believes a local presence is essential for providing the best possible service so we're excited to be opening an office in this key maritime location."
