March 3 - Maximus Air Cargo is putting its full weight behind the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority's (GCAA) drive for safety as well as hosting and sponsoring a number of safety-orientated events in the Emirate.
This will include hosting a meeting of the Gulf Flight Safety Committee (GFSC) at Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi and being a main sponsor at the World Food Programme's two-day global safety conference at Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting of the GFSC, which will be held in April, will bring almost 100 organisations from all over the region and around the world, all of who share an interest in the enhancement of regional air safety. These include major manufacturers, regional regulators, airlines, maintenance and repair operations, business jet and VIP operators and freight operators.
Fathi Buhazza, president and CEO of Maximus Air Cargo and founder of Care by Air underlined the importance of key players in the region's aviation industry pulling together with the GCAA in the drive for safety: "Maximus is committed to spearheading synergy between fellow aviation industry players. We are keen to work with the GCAA to ensure that regional safety standards follow meticulous global standards."
Maximus's fleet includes an Ilyushin 76TD and an Antonov 124-100, which operate to the highest standards and have proven invaluable in humanitarian missions for the UAE Red Crescent, Red Cross and the United Nations.
