October 5 - Building on their existing partnership, Belgium's H.Essers has signed up to buy at least another 850 vehicles from MAN Group, spread over a period of three years, from 2017 to 2019 inclusive.
The agreement covers several types of vehicle, including the TGX 18 tonne 4 × 2 tractor units of the vario, ultra & bulk types, 6 × 2 pushers and TGM 18 tonne 4 × 2 rigids.
The vehicles are all equipped with MAN Euro 6c engines and built-in GPS.
The keys to the first vehicle under this new agreement were handed over during the recent IAA event (as pictured below).
H.Essers provides a whole range of exceptional transport services for such cargoes as steel plates, silos, tower cranes, excavators, cooling towers, building materials and other special loads through a subsidiary company, Geertrans.
The company has a fleet of 180 lorries and 452 trailers and possesses all the legal permits necessary for exceptional transport in the Benelux, Germany and France.
