October 15 - A quartet of heavy lift movements have been completed by Ankara-based project forwarder Magdenli Transport and Trade.
A member of the Cargo Equipment Experts (CEE) network in Turkey, the forwarder has moved a portfolio of heavy freight related to lifting, natural gas developments and alternative power generation.
The first project saw the forwarder unload and transport equipment at Bandirma port on the Sea of Mamara for the 91 MW ªahres wind power project. For the 890 MW Samsun/Terme natural gas combined power plant project, Magdenlihandled two 301-tonne gas turbine units transported from Samsun port to the Terme jobsite.
A consignment of crane beams and overhead crane equipment was moved by the forwarder from Ankara, Turkey to the port of Iskenderun Payas. Four units of crane beams, 32m long and weighing 50 tonnes and two 56-tonne overhead cranes were moved
In the final movement, Magdenli moved material handling equipment associated with a large consignment of GE wind power generation equipment destined for a 22.5 MW wind power project.
