February 25 - MacGregor, part of Cargotec, has won an order for two subsea cranes from South Korean shipyard Hyundai Heavy Industries Co Ltd, to be fitted onboard a new heavy construction vessel.
The 160 m vessel is being built at the shipyard for the UK headquartered Subsea 7 and is scheduled for delivery in July 2015.
The heave-compensated cranes will have a safe working load (SWL) of 100 tonnes and 25 tonnes respectively, and will support the vessel's deployment in complex deep and ultra deepwater offshore construction operations.
This order follows a recent contract secured by MacGregor for six AHC subsea cranes for three flexlay pipe-laying offshore vessels, also destined for Subsea 7.
