October 27 - With water levels on the river Rhine and Danube remaining low, vessels are unable to sail fully loaded at present according to reports by Reuters.
The news agency reports that the Rhine is too shallow to allow vessels to sail with full loads for its entire length south of Cologne and Duisburg, whilst the Danube is also too low for ships to sail with full loads along the entire German section of the river.
Both rivers are important conduits for heavy and out-of-gauge commodities.
