January 8 - Liebherr can now supply a stronger wind power boom system for its LR 1600/2 crawler crane, increasing load capacity by up to 20 percent compared with the standard boom system.
The new SL10 main boom system can also increase hoist height by 15 m to over 160 m, while keeping a load capacity of 71 tonnes.
Compared with the standard system, the new boom system increases load capacity from 77 tonnes to 92 tonnes at a hoist height of 147 m, which means that the SL10 system can erect the latest generation of wind turbines with tower heights of up to 150 m.
The new system can be retrofitted on current machines, and only a few additional lattice sections must be purchased and assembled with the existing lattice sections to form the SL10 system.
The SL10 system will not affect the basic machine, nor will it increase its transport dimension of 3 m, says Liebherr.
