July 27 - The managing director of German crane operator Schlamann Autokrane travelled personally to take delivery of the latest additions to the company's crane fleet from manufacturer Liebherr-Werk Ehingen.
Torsten Schlamann collected two new Liebherr cranes, an LTF 1060-4.1 telescopic truck-mounted crane and anLTM 1130-5.1 mobile crane. The larger crane, the 130-tonne LTM 1130-5.1, will be utilised in the mineral, oil and gas sector while the smaller 60-tonne LTF 1060-4.1, was chosen for its fuel economy.
The fleet at Schlamann Autokrane consists of 15 units, 13 of which are from Liebherr, with the largest crane among them being an LTM 1220-5.2.
Schlamann Autokrane, based in Marklohe, between Bremen and Hannover, has a workforce of 30 people. Other commercial enterprises run by the Schlamann family are a cellular concrete plant, a sandy limestone plant and the transport of construction materials and heavy haulage.
