June 2 - Austrian crane and heavy load contractor Felbermayr has erected a steel skeleton for a new hangar at Schwechat Airport in Vienna using five Liebherr mobile cranes.
The heaviest single component lifted was a giant truss, which weighed in at 190 tonnes and had a length of 100 m.
The main work was carried out by a Liebherr LTM 1400-7.1 and an LTM 1350-61 crane, both of which raised the truss in a tandem hoist.
Three smaller Liebherr cranes were used to position and install the cross and connecting elements.
A total of 800 tonnes of steel was used to form the skeleton for the future hangar.
