Germany’s Leschaco Group has appointed Jens Osterwald as managing director of its Malaysian division.
Osterwald began his professional career in 2005 with a three-year dual study programme at Leschaco’s headquarters in Bremen. He then worked for two years as a sales representative in the tank container department.
In 2010, he moved to Leschaco Korea in Seoul, where he held various management positions, most recently as general manager warehousing and contract logistics until 2017. He joined Logwin Air + Ocean Korea that year as managing director. He returned to Germany in 2022, where he assumed the same position for the local country organisation at Crane Worldwide Logistics Germany in Frankfurt before serving as director of contract logistics.
“His wide-ranging knowledge of air and ocean freight, trucking, projects, as well as warehousing and contract logistics, will be vital to the further expansion of our presence in the region,” said Alexander Donau, the company’s regional head APAC.
Osterwald will assume his new role at Leschaco (Malaysia) on September 1, 2024.
