February 4 - At the 11th annual membership conference of the Worldwide Project Consortium Ltd (WWPC), held recently in Mumbai, the current Board of Advisors were re-elected for another year of service.
Fritz Mumenthaler for General Transport, Switzerland, Mohamed Osman, Darka for Trading of Sudan, Willy Hoffmann from Albacor Shipping of the USA and Patrick Lee from CNC Freight Services of Malaysia, will help guide the future development of this global franchise network for project cargo forwarders.
Decision makers from the membership along with first class sponsors, representing well known heavy lift ocean carriers Beluga Shipping Group and Rickmers Linie, and Ruslan International for the oversized and heavy cargo aircraft operators Volga-Dnepr Cargo Airlines and Antonov Aviation joined the event, which was held at the ITC Grand Central Hotel in Mumbai.
Luke King from HLPFI who also attended says that it was a very enjoyabe event combining great business networking with enjoyable social activities.
Besides presentations by the sponsor companies and social events, sponsored by the WWPC´s Indian membersExpress Transport, Hindustan Cargo and Sahil Freight Express, an auction was held, favouring a local charity, the "Al-Jamiatul-Fikriya Educational Trust" in support of parentless children.
Valuable items had been donated by the sponsirs for this auction with Fritz Mumenthaler, acting as auctioneer. USD5000 was raised for the charity.

The 12th WWPC Conference will take place in April 2012 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, allowing participation of the members and the WWPC network at the Intermodal South America fair.
