January 14 - Hamburg, Germany based crane rental firm Knaack-Krane has taken delivery of a new 750-tonne capacity Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 mobile crane.
The 9-axle crane can travel on public roads with its complete telescopic boom at an axle load of 12 tonnes. It can self-erect at jobsites without the need for supporting crane capacity.
"Our brand new 750-tonne mobile crane from Liebherr will enable us to enter into a completely new performance range," said a Knaack-Krane spokesperson, adding that the company plans to use the new capacity on jobs in the construction and wind power industries. The crane's high load capacity in terms of radii and hoist heights makes it ideal for jobs in these sectors, where ever-larger pre-fabricated components need to be moved and assembled.
Immediately after its delivery, the LTM 1750-9.1 was deployed on a wind turbine assembly project at Stößen-Teuchern wind farm, near Leipzig.
