August 18 - The Michigan-based Kalitta Air will use CHAMP's next generation Weight & Balance application to manage load planning across its fleet of 14 Boeing 747 freighters and claims to be the first in the US to implement CHAMP's solution.
The software is a Java based, modular built application that ensures the aircraft's compliance with operational and safety requirements, helping the user keep the aircraft within permissible centre of gravity limits throughout the flight. CHAMP's solution has an auto-load option on multiple legs, allowing airlines to plan complex aircraft loads. The application also permits comprehensive audit trails and reporting, a function that improves the fleet's business intelligence.
