November 11 - "K" Line has established a new joint venture with Sharaf Group, K Line Shipping & Logistics LLC (KLSL), in Dubai, UAE.
According to "K" Line, KLSL is the first Japanese shipping subsidiary company to operate in the Middle East. The new outfit will offer marine transportation, land transportation and logistics services, developing new business through the networks of "K" Line and Sharaf Group.
The Dubai based operation will be headed up by director and general manager, Takasi Kodera; director and chairman, Kazutaka Imaizumi; and director and vice chairman, Ibrahim Sharaf.
