March 15 - Readers are reminded that there are just days remaining before the first in a series of two-day heavy transport and lifting seminars being given by heavy list specialist and HLPFI columnist, Richard L Krabbendam.

The first seminar will take place in Perth from the 19-20 March, followed by other seminars in Singapore from the 31 March - 1 April, Dubai from the 8-9 April, Houston from the 7-8 May and Frankfurt from the 25-26 June.

Since announcing the series of two-day seminars, Mr Krabbendam has retired from Jumbo Shipping. Now he will use the series of seminars to transfer his know-how and experience to a wider industry audience.

He says: "With only four days to go before the first two-day seminar in Perth, you can still join this valuable course, where I will present most of the 'ins and outs' of how to handle heavy loads safely. Are you working on petrochemical plants, LNG trains, power plants, building offshore modules or dealing with project cargo involving heavy and voluminous pieces, which need to be transported and lifted safely? Then this is a course for you!"

The seminars are ideal for construction managers, project engineers, risk assessment engineers, warrantee surveyors, crane and transport operators, freight forwarders and everyone who wants to learn how to handle heavy lifts safely and avoid costly accidents and project delays.

Following the Perth Seminar, Krabbendam will be on the Jumbo stand at the Australian Oil & Gas (AOG) Show in Perth, where he will present Jumbo Offshore's latest deepwater lowering method of heavy loads down to 3,000m.
