August 23 - Singapore-based shipbuilder Jurong Shipyard (JSPL), a subsidiary of Sembcorp Marine, has selected Aveva Marine (12 Series) as an engineering and design solution for major marine and offshore projects.
Aveva Marine (12 Series) is able to manage and secure legacy data and is suited for mega-projects in the offshore segment where Jurong Shipyard is a major global player. The shipbuilder also constructs multipurpose cargo vessels (MPCV) as well as cargo barges for the heavy lift and project cargo sectors.

The 12.0.SP6 release contains a number of new features and performance enhancements, in addition to being one of the first professional engineering design and visualisation software products to support the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system.
JSPL has more than four decades of experience in the marine engineering business and is a one-stop total shipyard offering ship repair, shipbuilding, ship conversion, rig building and offshore engineering.
