Tracy Jin has joined Port Esbjerg as business development manager.
Jin has more than 10 years of experience from working across the supply chain. “Port Esbjerg is one of the Nordic’s major intermodal hubs. Our aspiration is to become an intermodal logistics hub for all of Europe. To reach this potential, we need to develop growth opportunities towards global markets and create solutions for existing and new customers through strategic partnerships and innovative solutions,” she explained.
The port has established itself as a key gateway for the region’s renewable energy industry and is investing to expand its footprint. The port continues with the deepening of its fairway and developing the port to optimise operations for the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T).
In July, Port Esbjerg received a EUR115 million (USD125.7 million) loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) as it looks to grow and develop its facilities. The port has ambitious projects in the pipeline and it expects to be involved in shipping cargoes for some 13.5 GW of offshore wind power by 2030. Ongoing projects at the port include reinforcing quay edges, preparing for next-generation installation vessels, and expanding ro-ro terminals, with works expected to be completed next year.
