February 22 - Jiangsu Sunshine Int'l Logistics has coordinated the transport of several petrochemical towers from Penglai, Shandong in north China to Huizhou, Guangdong in the south of the country.
Jiangsu Sunshine completed the loading and lashing of the cargoes on a vessel for shipment to their destination. The largest tower in the consignment weighed in at 571 tonnes with a length of 76 m and diameter of 6 m.
The company explained that the transport of the largest petrochemical tower from the factory to the port proved difficult due to its length; while unfavourable weather conditions at the port also made the loading process challenging.
Jiangsu Sunshine also organised the shipment of two petrochemical furnaces from Nantong, Jiangsu to Huizhou, Guangzhou.
The units, each of which weighed around 190 tonnes with the dimensions 27.6 m x 12 m x 12.3 m, were loaded onto a ro-ro vessel for shipment to the destination, and rolled off on arrival for delivery to the site.
Jiangsu Sunshine is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in China.
