Jacksonville Port Authority (Jaxport) in the USA has detailed its 2020-2025 strategic master plan, which focuses on cargo volume growth.
The port authority’s previous 2014-2019 strategic plan focused on infrastructure. Now that the projects outlined in the previous plan are complete – or nearing completion – the next five-year road map builds upon these port infrastructure enhancements to boost its cargo business and create more private-sector jobs.
The plan includes ten goals, including four key strategies, one of which is an expansion of its breakbulk business line.
The other strategies include: expand container business; expand vehicle capacity and volume; and acquire additional land in proximity to the port.
