April 26 - JAS Worldwide and Necotrans Holding have formed a global alliance providing freight forwarding and logistics services.
Both companies will represent each other exclusively in their respective territories, collaborating at 323 locations in 101 countries. The focus of the alliance will be on the development of freight and logistics services to, from and within Africa.
The parties state that customers will benefit from the combination of JAS' global freight network and the African footprint of Necotrans.
Necotrans provides services for the oil and gas and mining industries in Africa, operating oil supply bases, bulk and multipurpose port terminals, and offering husbandry, freight and logistics services in 25 African countries, as well as in Brazil and Thailand.
"By joining our efforts, JAS and Necotrans will have the capacity and the network to respond globally to customer needs," said Necotrans chairman Gregory Querel.
