September 8 - The next seminar in a series of heavy lift and breakbulk cargo courses to be held by the Global Project Logistics Network (GPLN) is to be hosted later this month at Oil & Gas Indonesia 2011 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
This seminar follows earlier courses in Singapore, Antwerp and Aberdeen for breakbulk professionals, whether working for logistics firms or as end-users of project logistics services.
Gary Dale Cearley, GPLN executive director, says: "GPLN membership is not required. The course is open to all project cargo professionals."
The course covers various aspects of heavy lifting for exceptional transports as well as load securing. A very strong emphasis on all aspects of safety during heavy transport is built into the curriculum. GPLN's Heavy Transport and Lifting course is taught by a Europe-based certified professional engineer with more than two decades experience in the field of project transportation of extremely large cargoes. The course is taught over a full day.
