December 3 - Tuscor Lloyds has shipped thirty cargo baskets, with a total combined weight of 107.02 tonnes, from Gdansk in Poland to the UAE port of Jebel Ali.
The shipment required eight 40 ft flatrack containers and five 45 ft high-cube containers. Using containers ensured that the cargo could be easily and quickly loaded onto trucks for land transport and then the vessel for shipment to Jebel Ali, explained Tuscor Lloyds.
The cargo was delivered to the port of Gdansk on low loader trucks and loaded onto the waiting vessel using on onsite gantry crane, which was fitted with special heavy lift equipment.
On arrival at Jebel Ali, the cargo was unloaded and checked for damage, before being transported to the jobsite on additional trailers.
