March 22 - Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) has opened a new office in Veracruz, Mexico - its fourth in the country.
ISS Veracruz will offer a range of marine services, including marine solutions, offshore services, as well as logistics and project services.
Marine operations will be led by ISS operations manager Manuel Coronado, while project manager Lazaro Souza will head up offshore operations at the new office. Both will report to ISS' general manager for Mexico, Gustavo Robles.
Tim Cahill, ISS executive vice president for North America, commented on the opening of the Veracruz office: "The port is a key Mexican gateway to trade and has an excellent strategic location to complement the requirements of our global clients."
A development project is currently under way at the Port of Veracruz, which will see the gateway's capacity increased by 25 percent on completion in 2018. The port specialised in the handling of containers, general cargo, vehicles and chemicals.
