November 28 - Kuwait-based Integrated Logistics has acquired a Terex AC 1000 all terrain crane with a lifting capacity of 1,200 tonnes, making it the largest mobile hydraulic crane in the company's 400-crane fleet.
"We needed a high-capacity crane that would offer quick mobilisation, even in congested areas, for single-lift jobs," said Saleh Al Huwaidi, ceo of Integrated Logistics.
The nine-axle Terex AC 100 all terrain crane can travel on public roads with its 50 m main boom attached, and with a length of 20.3 m, is remarkably compact and manoeuvrable for a crane in its capacity class, claims Terex.
One of the crane's first planned projects for Integrated Logistics is a highway expansion project in Kuwait City.
Integrated Logistics is involved in heavy lift cargo handling, erection of heavy lifts, transportation of over dimensional cargo and the supply of various types of construction and lifting equipment to support various projects within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
