September 17 - Earlier this month, 20 organisations from seven countries participated in the International Crane Stakeholders Assembly's (ICSA) annual meeting in Burswood, Western Australia.
The ICSA members discussed a wide range of matters important to the crane industry including safety, technical and regulatory issues of concern. Attendees reviewed: leaving mobile cranes unattended in partially erected mode; draft ICSA guidance on multiple crane and tandem lifting; ground press for crawler cranes with long booms; plus other key safety and environmental performance indicators.
The next ICSA annual meeting will be conducted in conjunction with the Bauma 2016 event, which takes place April 11-17 in Munich, Germany.
The ICSA members consist of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), the European Federation of Material Handling (FEM), Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA), the Crane Industry Council of Australia (CICA), and the European Association of Abnormal Road Transport and Mobile Cranes (ESTA).
