Höegh Autoliners has expanded its services in Australia with the addition of a port call in Mackay, North Queensland.
The introduction of the port to Höegh’s service offering will provide customers with a direct link from North America and Europe.
Höegh added that there has been increasing demand from its customers for direct connections to North Queensland for breakbulk commodities, primarily to support the mining and agriculture industries.
“Previously, such large cargoes had limited options and would be shipped through alternate ports traversing lengthy road routes to the northern regions of Australia,” said Höegh.
