September 4 - Holleman Bulgaria O.O.D transported two oversized condensers from Ploietsi to the port of Constanta in Romania.
The condensers, which are part of a floating refinery situated in Australia, each weighed 105 tonnes with a height of 6.35 m. Since the total height was 6.95 m, Holleman had to remove tens of electrical, telephone and TV cables during land transport.
At the port of Oltenita, on the Danube river, Holleman used a 2,000 tonne pontoon with a large ramp to allow for smooth ro-ro operation. The trailers were released from the pontoon using Holleman's gantry cranes; an operation which took nine hours.
After a 200 km voyage down the Danube, the containers arrived in Constanta port, where the Holleman team were responsible for the transshipment of the condensers from the pontoon to the ship, and their lashing.
