November 18 - Project forwarder Holleman Bulgaria has transported a large number of wind turbine generators for a Siemens project in Romania.
The project, at the former mining area of Coroni/Sfanta Elena, Romania, required Holleman Bulgaria, a member of both the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) and the Cargo Equipment Experts (CEE) networks, to transport 21 complete 2.3 MW Siemens wind turbine generators and associated equipment from the port of Constanta, Romania to the wind farm site.
Among the tasks undertaken by Holleman Bulgaria on the project included the unloading from the vessel in Constanta Port, quayside handling of the material, hinterland transport from Constanta Port by barge to Moldova Veche Port, before road transport movement to the wind farm site.
The Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) is a franchise network for project cargo forwarders with such as hauliers, crane operators, tug and barge operators serving the heavy and outsized cargo industry.
