January 18 - HMB Shipping & Trading Co Ltd is the Project Cargo Network's (PCN)'s official representative in Sudan.
The company was established in 2003 and is based in Port Sudan, with a branch office in Khartoum. It retains a strong market share of UN imported shipments into Sudan with UNMIS and UNAMID amongst regular clientele.

HMB Shipping has played an active role in the clearing and forwarding of shipments for the Merowe Dam project which was considered the biggest hydroelectric project in Sudan.
The company successfully transported heavy lift units, which consisted of 18 transformers (83 tonnes each), 10 runners (105 tonnes each), shaft machinery and electrical cables from Port Sudan to the job site in Merowe by road covering a distant of 1,700 km.
