May 20 - Richard Krabbendam, HLPFI columnist and a 36-year veteran of the high and heavy industry, is planning his next two-day seminar.

Subject to attracting sufficient number of participants, the 'Heavy Transport & Lifting' seminar will take place on 3rd and 4th of July in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, close to Rotterdam.

According to Krabbendam, the best way to avoid accidents is to have staff and crews as well-trained and prepared as possible. "In our business of moving and lifting heavy objects, we have to send our operators on the job well prepared and equipped with the correct work instructions. That is the least we can do to try to avoid accidents," he says.

"My presentations are intensive but kept simple and are suitable for operational personnel, engineers as well as management and sales people," he says.

The seminar costs Euros700 per person, which includes VAT, buffet lunch on both days and detailed hand-outs of all 11 presentations, as well as a double DVD with three hours of video footage about heavy transport and lifting.
