November 4 - Members of The Heavy Lift Group (THLG) are gathering for their 45th Conference at the Grand Marina Hotel in Barcelona starting with a reception and dinner on 6th November, writes Oliver Ward.
Over 70 delegates are attending to discuss the current state of the heavy lift market and to network with each other to strengthen the bonds that tie them to the group and promote increased cooperation.
There are various new applicants who will be presenting the services they can offer to the group. The Barcelona-based member, Luis Duran, of Asta Logistik SL, has had the tough task of organising the event but he is confident that it will be a successful and also enjoyable occasion "Barcelona is a great city to hold these types of events; the hotel facilities are perfect for these reunions, and once the business is done you have a beautiful and historic city to explore and a magnificent cuisine to sample".
Luis Branco, of Navigomes Portugal and president of THLG, is looking forward to the business sessions which are the main purpose of the event "I am pleased we can attract new applicants even in the current world crisis, and I am looking forward to hearing what they have to propose and what they will bring to add further to our already very active and strong group. And as ever, it is great to catch up with all our old friends that make up the membership. I would also like to thank the Barcelona Port Authority for its enthusiastic approach to host our conference in theor port and also for kindly sponsoring part of the event. "
THLG has a worldwide membership of companies expert in the movement by air, sea and land transport of extraordinary cargoes to and from anywhere on the planet. Their motto is "Power in Unity". More information about the group and its membership can be found at www.theheavyliftgroup.com
