August 18 - Harms Bergung Transport & Heavylift's anchor handling tug Orcus has been chartered by Dolphin Drilling to tow the semisubmersible rig Borgny Dolphin from Brazil to Scotland.
Having complete the towage of Transocean's semisubmersible rig Development Driller II from offshore Port Fourchon to Gibraltar, which was reported by HLPFI on July 22, Orcus travelled to Las Palmas to prepare for its upcoming journey to Brazil.
On arrival in Brazil offshore Macae, Orcus picked up the self-propelled unit Borgny Dolphin, which is 108 m long and has a 67 m breadth, and began towing the rig towards the North Sea.
The tug, which has a bollard pull of 298 tonnes, is travelling at an average speed of 5.5 knots and is expected to arrive in Invergordon on September 2.
