Jan De Nul’s offshore installation vessel Les Alizés is set to transport and install monopile foundations for Scotland’s Inch Cape offshore wind farm. Meanwhile, the company launched a major dredging campaign in Senegal to support the development of the Ndayane deepwater port.
The port of Nigg, part of Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Freeport (ICFGF), has been granted Customs site status, allowing for greater volumes of components to pass through the Scottish port.
Construction work is well under way at the port of Koper’s Berth 12, in Slovenia.
Breakbulk volumes at the port of Rotterdam declined in 2024, dragged down by weaker demand for steel and non-ferrous metals. However, energy transition projects are pressing ahead, with major CO2 and hydrogen infrastructure developments shaping the port’s future.
As Siemens Gamesa scales up production at its Le Havre facility, the port strengthens its intra-European cargo flows and continues investing in green logistics and multimodal infrastructure.
Finland-based Deltamarin has signed a contract with China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Jiangsu) for the design and engineering of Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s upsized Shaper-class vessels.
