March 26 - The Port of Boston has been added to the Grimaldi Group's twice-monthly, direct U.S./West Africa ro-ro service.
The service also calls at New York, Baltimore and Jacksonville before it sails to to Dakar, Tema, Lome, Cotonou and Lagos, where Grimaldi has its own ro-ro terminal. On-connection is available to other African ports including Banjul, Conakry, Freetown, Abidjan, Takoradi, Douala, Pointe Noire, Luanda and Boma.
In additon to cars, trucks, tractors, buses and other vehicles, the service is able to move over dimensional equipment.
