June 28 - Grieg Star will open an office in Singapore on July 1, in an effort to capture opportunities in this part of the world together with the offices in Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai, says Tom Rasmussen, president & CEO of Grieg Star Shipping.
Audun Baardsen is relocating from the company's Central office in Bergen to head the office in Singapore as vice president and general manager.
The company's project cargo department in Gothenburg is focusing on the energy sector (power generators and turbines), wind energy equipment, oil & gas equipment, cable reels, boats/yachts, cranes and other breakbulk cargo, as well as a wide range of rolling stock; such as agriculture and construction equipment, mining equipment and other cargo for the automotive industry.
