January 15 - Shipping line, Grieg Star has introduced a new monthly direct service linking the Mediterranean and Northern Europe to the west coast of South America, via the USA.
Starting in Monfalcone, Italy, the service will call at northern Spain, Antwerp, Bremen and Brake before routing to the US east coast. The service will take in the US ports of Baltimore, Wilmington, Fernandina Beach, Mobile and Houston.
The vessel will then journey to the South American west coast unloading in Guayaquil, Ecuador; Callao, Peru; and San Antonio, Chile.
Other ports will be added to the schedule if suitable demand is forthcoming.
