April 4 - Global Star Logistics has handled the discharge and transport of three large pieces of equipment for a nuclear power station at the Port of Shanghai.
The cargo consisted of two units weighing over 500 tonnes, both of which had the dimensions 17.46 m x 5.7 m x 6.42 m, and one unit weighing 263.5 tonnes with the dimensions 9.48 m x 5.7 m x 7.12 m.
The equipment was lifted from the heavy lift vessel onto barges using the ship's own cranes, before being transported to the consignee's berth, where the cargo was transferred onto special trailers and SPMTs for final transport to a workshop in Shanghai.
Global Star Logistics is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in China.
