June 5 - Giga Logistics has used a Faymonville TeleMAX trailer to transport a specialised wind rotor blade in northern Sweden.
The TeleMAX is a flatbed semi-trailer that can be extended up to four times to 65 m. Giga Logistics used the specialised trailer to transport a 55 m long x 4.3 m wide rotor blade, which weighed 12 tonnes, from Ko?pmanholmen to Björkhöjden.
The TeleMAX in question came equipped with pendle axles, which allow for more stroke (600 mm) and a steering angle of up to 60 degrees. It is also possible to raise the rear ground clearance of the trailer so it can swivel over substantial obstacles.
The TeleMAX also has rear slide-out platforms that act as a resting point for the rotor blade. This counteracts the bending that is experienced when transporting super-long loads while enhancing manoeurvrability, enabling the TeleMAX to transport rotor blades up to 80 m long.
