November 12 - Crowley Maritime Corporation and IbisTek have formed a joint venture, which will provide a comprehensive package of project logistics, energy support services and emergency response capabilities in Ghana.
IbisTek is a wholly Ghanaian-owned company that provides packaged engineering solutions regionally.
Crowley says that the partnership - dubbed IbisTek Crowley - will leverage its worldwide logistics footprint and project expertise, and expand IbisTek's existing relationships and customer base in the region.
The IbisTek Crowley office - located in Accra - will employ a team of Ghanaian nationals that will be closely linked with Crowley's Houston-based warehouse and distribution centre, which also provides international project logistics and global freight management services.
"Crowley and IbisTek are uniquely suited to jointly serve these industries in Africa," said Crowley's director of logistics, Bleu Hillburn.
