June 29 - Geodis is currently handling the delivery of 75 trains from India to Australia for Bombardier Transportation.
After the first delivery in February 2016, Geodis handled the second shipment of six carriages - weighing 260 tonnes - from Savli, India to Brisbane, Australia in May.
Out of 22 logistics service providers, Geodis was selected by Bombardier to handle the Queensland government's New Generation Rollingstock (NGR) project.
The 36-month contract will see Geodis coordinate the delivery of 450 train carriages to Australia, as well as supply equipment to Bombardier's production site in Savli.
