The power plant is one of two 150MW stations donated by the Thai government to Myanmar.
The Freight Co has had to liaise with ministry and government authorities to prepare the discharge of the vessel at two different ports, and to transport two over-dimensional pieces weighing 200 tonnes each, through Yangon city.
The first part of the cargo is currently being unloaded at Bo Aung Kyaw port. The vessel will then travel to Asia World Port to discharge the heavy machinery, including the gas turbine and generator.
Thein Sein, the prime minister of Myanmar, and other distinguished guests will attend the final discharge of the vessel.
