September 13 - General Transport has transported two LNG hyper compressor units and their accessories to a job site in Point Comfort, Texas, USA.
The shipment, which included two 218-tonne hyper compressors and a 56.7-tonne booster compressor, was transported from Switzerland to the Port of Antwerp, Belgium utilising a heavy haulage trailer for the road transport, and a barge for transport along the Rhine.
Upon arrival in Antwerp, the cargoes were loaded on board BBC Chartering's vessel BBC Sapphire for onward shipment to the USA.
General Transport's scope of work also included the import Customs clearance in the USA and the delivery of the units to the job site using self-propelled modular transporters (SPMT).
General Transport is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in Switzerland.
