October 23 - GBS Yacht Transport, part of the EMS-Fehn-Group, claims that it has never shipped as many yachts in a three-month period as it has in the past quarter.
Currently the company is handling the shipment of the 38 ft (11.5 m) yacht Baywatch to the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.
"In the more than 20 years since GBS have existed we have never before shipped so many sailing and motor yachts at a time," said Michel Wirt of GBS Yacht Transport. "We owe this success to the loyalty of our customers and to new services we offer."
GBS expanded its services this year and now offers more ports of call and faster transit times, said the company.
