March 5 - Two members of the Project Cargo Network (PCN) - Alexander Global Logistics (AGL) and Express Global Logistics (EXG) - have worked together to arrange the transport of five diesel engines from India to Turkey.
The engines, each of which weighed up to 80 tonnes, were trucked from the manufacturer's site in India to the port of Nhava Sheva (Jawaharlal Nehru Port), before being shipped to Turkey.
As well as the road and sea transport, the scope of AGL and EXG's work included the method statement, the lashing, securing and handling of the cargo, the documentation, Customs clearance and surveys.
