March 2 - F.S. Mackenzie Group (FSM) has opened a new office Tbilisi, Georgia, which it says will act as a gateway for imports to the Caucasus region.
FSM has been active in the region for some year, beginning road freight operations into the Caucasus in 2009 and launching regular LCL services to Tbilisi, Yerevan and Baku via Black Sea ports in 2012.
In addition to LCL services, the company's new office will offer road transport, airfreight forwarding and oversize project forwarding services by air and ocean; as well as Customs clearance, insurance and packing services.
The company, which is the UK and Russia member of the FPS Group network of independent forwarders and NVOCCs, also plans to open another office in the region in 2016.
