Vijay Papriwal, Freight Wings managing director said: "Freight Wings has proved that using in-house engineering capabilities and local expert manpower, such critical loadouts, which were till recently the domain of foreign companies, can be executed by an Indian company safely and as per schedule."
The topside will be installed offshore using McDermott's heavy lift offshore crane in Kakinada.
Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) is developing Deen Dayal West (DDW) block in KG Basin. The development includes facility setting and drilling 15 wells up to 2015 in the basin where huge reserves of oil and gas have been found. As part of this project, GSPC awarded the multi-million dollar offshore platform contract to L&Twhose scope includes survey, engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation of the Well Head Platform (WHP).
