April 28 - Port Freeport has raised almost 15,000 dollars for Brazoria County Association for Citizens with Handicaps (BACHS), a charitable organisation which provides care and treatment for disabled children and their families.
Whilst maintaining its status as an important port for the handling of heavy lift and over dimensional project cargoes, Port Freeport has hosted various charitable events with the latest being a Golf Tournament at Columbia Lake Resort and Country Club.
The port's strategic location along the Texas Gulf Coast also offers a major staging site for semi-submersible and tension-leg offshore platforms.
Additionally, the port maintains both covered and uncovered storage areas for use in marshalling project cargoes.
