June 24 - Erwitte, Germany-based, Franz Bracht Kran-Vermietung has taken delivery of three new Liebherr LTM 1160-5.2 mobile cranes.
The heavy lift and specialised heavy transport company says that increasing demand from the wind farm installation business has created the need for additional cranes in its fleet.
The company's owner Dirk Bracht says: "A crane with maximum flexibility is always important for routine work. The VarioBase® variable supporting base from Liebherr delivers this flexibility to a tee. It also significantly enhances safety levels."
The LTM 1160-5.2 features a 62-m telescopic boom and can reach heights of up to 99-m and radii of up to 78-m with lattice extensions.
This variety of crane can be operated with two different ballast radii: 5.23-m or 4.73-m.
