The new weekly service will connect with southern domestic ports, including Davai and Cagayan de Oro, catering for FCL and LCL traffic. Other regional ports can be served on demand.
Famous Pacific Forwarding Philippines is also offering ro-ro services and plans to add conventional capacity in the future.
Famous Pacific Forwarding Philippines director Marina Rollan, commented: "While there has been a downturn in overall volumes of international cargo in 2012, there has been an upward trend in the domestic sector.
"This has been caused by growing demand for transport of goods from Manila to various points of the Southern Philippines - supplying construction materials, feeding the growth in commercial outlets and providing distribution of finished products," she added.
